Plane Wave Scattered at a Sphere


Parameters for the Example

  • The unity sphere in three dimensional space is discretised by 92 triangles.
  • The interval [0,20] is divided into 80 equidistant timesteps.
  • A plane wave modulated by a Gaussian models the incoming wave.
  • The solution in the exterior domain is calculated in 6400 points lying in the plane, which intersects the sphere at its equator.
