1. Known ``Bugs''
=================

- a fontsize command immediately after the '<' in a ppremarks 
  mode disturbs the page layout precede the command with '{}'
  and all works fine.
- pdflatex generates several `LaTeX Font Warning`
  Don't worry... 
- xpdf may not display all dots depending on installed fonts.

3. History
==========

2012-06-07: Release of version 2.3 and 2.4-uzh:
	    (releases 2.1, 2.2 were rather development versions)
	    Many new features like:
	    - new package options (gridin, gridcm, uzh, cfg)
	    - new macros (arrow, placefig, placeobject, ...)
	    - possibility of setting paragraph and list spacing
	    - new examples
	    - updated manual
	    - more control to personalize the layout (e.g.,
	      with file p5style.cfg).
	    - default setting is independent of figures provided
	      in p5figures
	    - distribution of p5Sweave.sty 
	    Slightly different default spacing/setting may cause 
	    a minor loss in backwards compatibility.
	    
2009-08-07: Release of version 2.0:
	    the new version has a slightly different default spacing
	    and space arrangement. Hence, we have lost a bit of backwards
	    compatibility. 
	    Many new features are available:   
	    - increased outer bounds 
	    - removed rubber lengths
	    - commands to change textsize and titlesize, default is:
		       \titlefontsize{\LARGE}
		       \textfontsize{\normalsize}
	    - the figure for the title slide can be specified now with
                       \titlebackgroundimage{ }
	    - new option 'fields', used to create the slides for the 
	      'fields tour'.
	    The script file 'compile.p5' for efficient compilation 
            is included.

2004-09-25: Release of version 1.0: 
	    quite a few new commands concerning color and page layout
	    handling; backward compatibility with lower versions could
	    not be maintained completely


2004-08-25: Release of version 0.3: 
	    essentially a beta version for 1.0
	    - eliminated the environment construction of \slide
	    - implemented \pause
	    - handling of different headers and footers
	    - accompanying \pdflatex manual
	    - Compatibility issues: new option handling
	    - \footeron and \footeroff obsolete
	    - \pplines takes a numerical argument



2004-05-05: Release of version 0.2: 
	    distributed and stable version
	    - minor layout changes (indicated by E.-M. Restle)
	    - background color can be changed
	    - included package option background
